RIVOCS

FIRST ALBUM TO BE RELEASED IN 2024!

Rivocs is a duo of young Italian musicians born in the summer of 2020. The duo builds a repertoire drawing inspiration from the origin and nature of their territory, the Friulian country, in the North East of Italy, where endless fields and stunning skies mee to become main characters. They do it by referring to a primordial, primitive ensemble: voice and percussion; melody and rhythm, earth and water. Rivocs’ original music is written in different languages, with an acoustic and primordial sound referring to popular, African, and jazz music. In an attempt to find a balance between research and tradition, the music of this project has a fundamental purpose: to express the absolute freedom that arises from the union of the voice, an archaic instrument, with percussion, a ritualistic instrument. The concert lends itself to all types of listening, to trained ears but also to beginners, with a special attention to a younger audience.
