At first it was Biska to testify to the group’s passion for the Caribbean sound then close encounters with Central European environments heightened their interest in a metropolitan sound. But any genre or definition would fit the Bisca sound tightly. A sound that the group has pursued and consolidated in its tumultuous and living experience and that genre, or “generic” has very little, since it still and always claims its uniqueness. The ingredients, however, are clear: black music (all of it), rock, punk, certain iterative music, (hyper)melodic taste.

In recent years Bisca’s music has been used in a number of films, including 2019’s L’immortale and Laggiù qualcuno mi ama, a docufilm by Mario Martone about the life of Massimo Troisi.
